Holds a BA degree in English Literature as well as Masters Degree in Graphic Design from Bilkent University in Turkey.
Upon graduation, she worked at J. Walter Thompson ad agency for 7 years, first as an Account Executive and later as Account Director and Strategic Planner.
Throughout her professional career at JWT, she’s been trained in England and Italy participating Advertising Crafts Skills Seminar of JWT’s renowned worldwide trainee program. Successfully developed and implemented branding strategies for such multi-national CPG brands as Nestle, Kit Kat, Polo (Mint with a hole), Crunch, Unilever brands such as Lipton Tea, Lipton Iced Tea and Lever (Lux, Vim, Vim Progress).
Most of the ad campaigns she’s managed (23 to be exact) has won top advertising awards (Crystal Apple Award) in Turkey regarding creativity and effectiveness.
In 1997, she came to New York to continue her education at NYU, while at the same time, pursuing her true passion and working as an “Assistant Stylist” for some of the most sought-after stylists and photographers in New York.
Since then she’s been living in New York and working as a “stylist / art director” mostly in food and soft goods (fashion) industries. Among her clients are Food Network, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Armani, Martha Stewart Living, Macy’s and Gilt.com. Her work was published at Elle, Vogue, Glamour, Lucky and Nylon magazines.
She has been nominated for the EMMY Award in 1999 through the FOODNETWORK TV Show “Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee“
For the last couple of years, she has been working for some blue chip clients in Turkey as well. Such as Pierre Cardin, Beymen, Four Seasons Hotel, Uludag Premium and Hepsiburada.com. She’s now based in both New York and Istanbul.
Moreover, alongside her styling work, she’s been co-managing “Organizma”, a Brand Communication Agency, with her husband. Under Organizma, the couple has successfully helped launch start-up companies in New York such a Polka Dot Cake Studio, Kiva Cafe, Ripenow for Produce Pete and Moon and Stars Project.
She’s passionately interested in photography, fine arts and dancing.
